girl, loosen up!
I remember like it was yesterday.. it was a night I’ll never forget. Now imagine this.., I have a small friend group, it’s 3 of us. Shannon, Ashley and me Deseree. We all grew up in Mobile Alabama and had been close friends since elementary school. Now my girls are fun but responsible and leveled if that makes since. We know how to have a good time but u won’t catch us doing too much or getting too risky under any circumstances, keep this in mind. It’s funny because my dad would tease me about how we’re all basically the same person &we put work above anything else in life. He says we’re “too serious” at times what ever the fuck that means. I never cared though because my girls were my safe space.., we all thought alike we took life seriously in every aspect. We made time for fun but never anything too wild. Shit just worked, no forcing, no judgement, just love.
Well Shannon’s birthday is Halloween day we’d dress up an go out to eat, the usual. We always dressed scary because isn’t that wat Halloween is about? Well, I dnt kno if I had let my dad and all the other crazy comments about my friend group bother me but tht year I wanted to do something different. I wanted us to enjoy ourselves and let loose if even for one night. I had been seeing a few ads on Facebook about “Gemini Kinks.” It’s an online boutique run by this woman who calls herself “Madam” and sells sexy costumes and lingerie, it’s a cute lil store so I thought…. Why the hell not!? I did a FaceTime call with all my girls and set the tone, “ This year we’re lettin loose, sexy costumes, drinks, bars and random people!” I told em to check out Gemini Kinks because this is where our costumes will be frm so once they see the website they know exactly what type of vibes we’re going for. No questions! Shannon laughed at the disclaimer that claimed the costumes had “superpowers”. We all thought it was ridiculous but Shannon got the biggest laugh of us all. I mean we all have beliefs based on facts., if it’s not this it’s that and that’s it, there’s no in between either. But nonetheless we were all willing to try something new.
When the night came we met up to adore each other’s costume choice and disgust our plans for the night.. I went with the flight attendant costume, its superpower was travel & gift of gab and I was definitely feeling it. Shannon went with the teachers pet costume, she dressed it up with some cute glasses and thigh high stockings. It flowed perfectly and the skirt revealed just enough ass from the bottom. Not too much but definitely not too little. My girl looked good! Now Ashley went all in she chose the “maid to serve” costume. She had a cute little feather duster and some clear 6 inch heels &red lipstick to top it off. WE READY! We took an uber to a bar drinks back to back music blasting the fellas with money OUTSIDE !! I was feeling it! I talked to almost every guy in the club with them all buying my girls and I drinks with Shannon and Ashley close behind whispering beautiful lies in their ears. We ended up at the W hotel at an after party ! Ion remember how we got there but we partied we drank we sang we danced, we let go.. we was for once in a long time.., PRESENT. Now if u know us u know we always played it safe, going to some random guys hotel party wouldn’t have ever happened in this life or the next but this night was .., different. We always laugh and talk about it.. it’s our secret. I made it home at 7:30 am, just in time to get ready for my 9 o’clock shift as bank manager. Completed my shift like the boss I am.. and wasn’t even hungover, surprisingly. Me and my girls booked a weeks vacation this summer to Mexico, we already discussed that Gemini Kinks is a must, my costumes are already in my cart……,
